![]() ![]() ![]() The mash was literally to die for and I say this as somebody who doesn't really like seafood. We got spinach as a side- who knew spinach could taste this good! And the lobster mash. I can't emphasise enough how good this was and how perfectly cooked the steak. This was two 4oz filet mignon medallions and shrimp with asparagus and a creamy garlic butter sauce. Next, the food and oh my word was it good! We both got the scampi special. The atmosphere was just gorgeous, low ambient lighting, tables adequately spaced and just a real feeling of luxury. I was torn between two cocktails and when my chosen one arrived it wasn't quite to my taste and Nick instantly took it away to swap it for the other without hesitation. Nick was great in explaining all of our options and was on had with any recommendations we needed. We got off to the best start as our table was decorated with stars and a happy birthday card. he was not only attentive, but really friendly and ensured we had everything we needed for the perfect meal. From the moment we stepped in we knew we were in good hands and Andy the host was so friendly and welcoming. If you're debating dinner at Eddie V's I can't emphasise enough how much you need to go here. They are either understaffed or not trained in service. Not impressed with the bar service at all. Ended up asking another customer if they were familiar with the IPAs and took their advice and ordered the Lunch IPA from Maine. Didn’t realize it was $26!!! It wasn’t even that good. I am an IPA drinker but had never heard of those being offered. One was handling drinks from the diners, one ringing the registrar for a while, one was washing glasses, and one was walking around. Sat for 10 min before anyone acknowledge us. The lobster bisque was also so good that I’m afraid I’ll be disappointed if I order from another restaurant. You should probably order sides as there are no accompaniments. The food was fantastic: Seared Ahi Tuna…excellent. The restaurant was perfect! Our sever, Courtney, was fun and charming as well as very attentive. Thanks to the entire staff for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence. Warm Belgian Chocolate Cake and Creme Brulee rounded out what was a fantastic meal. Don't miss the Bananas Foster Butter Cake that's flambeed tableside, served with Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Yellowtail Sashimi, Filet Mignon, 18oz Prime Bone-in NY Strip, Truffled Mac & Cheese, Sweet Corn, Mashed Potatoes. The Shellfish Tower was excellent, super fresh. Lobster Tempura Bites were a good way to start as we enjoyed our cocktails and wine by the glass. All the food was excellent, perfectly prepared. providing efficient, professional service, with a genuine interest in making sure we were happy. This aspect of the dining experience is often overlooked, and I'd say it's the biggest change here from my previous visits. The level of service exhibited here is rare these days. Cregg kept a watchful eye on the dining room throughout the night to ensure that everything is going according to plan, stopping by our table a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed. It's apparent he understands customer service and has instilled his commitment to excellence in his staff. The GM, Andy Cregg, who arrived around a year ago, has raised the game here. I say steakhouse, but Eddie V's also excels with seafood as well. of as one of the top few steakhouses in town. However, now the place is now operating on a much higher level, and can now be thought. It was always very good, the dining room is beautiful, bar area great as well. I've been going to Eddie V's since it opened in the Prudential Center.
